Stoneplacing is a multilateral project, funded by a grant from the European Union Lifelong Learning Programme, Leonardo Develop of Innovation, and initiative of year 2012.

The general aim of the project is to increase the skills of workers in the field of placing the stone, in order to increase the quality of the final work, the permanence of the work and the environmental sustainability, by using methods without non-recyclable and/or non-eco-friendly materials.

Products

The products to be obtained from this Project will be:

  • A report with the results of the comparative study on the norms for placing the stone works in the involved countries and in the EU.
  • A report on the different methods and procedures used for placing the stonemasonry products in the site in the involved countries.
  • A report with the outcomes of the seminar regarding the methods for placing the different stonemasonry products.
  • A report with the defined skills, competences and knowledge required for placing the stone products in the building site.
  • A curriculum for a STONEMASONRY PLACING COURSE, adapted to the transversal needs of stone industry across Europe.
  • An ONLINE RESOURCE CENTRE, designed to support the implementation of the produced Stonemasonry Placing Course, with multimedia training material related to placing the stone.
